![]() My friend is in Paramount Senior Living at Cabell-Midland. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The staff members eat with them, and it's like eating at home. It's up a private road and it's the only place on that road. The only people in her building are those with dementia and Alzheimer's. They have duplexes across the street for independent living, a separate building for assisted living, a separate nursing home facility, and memory care is all in a building by itself. It's by far the best place for your money. They have singers, churches come in, games, crafts, and if she doesn't feel like participating, they're not forced to do that. She has some family members that agitate her, so we have them on the "do not visit" list, and they seem to be abiding by our instructions. They have a big activity room and it's all glass, so you can see what's going on in there. They keep their rooms locked when they're not in there. They give you an activities calendar at the beginning of each month. It does not have a nursing home smell, and it's clean. The staff is very upbeat, friendly, and there to help you with any questions or anything you might need. I am a friend or relative of a current/past residentĪngie My mother-in-law is at Paramount Senior Living at Cabell-Midland. The rates are going up because they have to hire and offer people more money to come work here. She has a microwave, a small refrigerator, and a nice big bathroom that could even accommodate a roll-in wheelchair. It has space for a bed, a couch, a chair, and a little table. My mom is in a studio, and I really like it. The residents are mostly in the memory care unit activity room, either watching TV or sleeping in their chairs. The activities have gone downhill because of COVID. Their activities director is very interactive with the residents. During the week, they have private people come in and do different musical things. They have different churches come in every Sunday, give a service, and sing hymns. They had a change in staff, from the CEO down to the janitor. Sherry My mother is in Paramount Senior Living at Cabell Midland. They also have a van so the residents can go to the local library, mall and other places. All doors are locked at all times to prevent the residents from wondering off. All residents are treated with care and respect. That is the most thing I found interesting on my visit there. The residents at Midland Meadows are not treated as if they are just there to die. They also offer activities for the residents. The Aids seems to be caring and takes pride in caring for the residents. They offer Amap staff, alone with a team of excellent resident aids. They have staff for each area the resident needs. The residents has their laundry cleaned by staff hired just for laundry. The staff and resident ratio meets or probably beats the state requirement. The residents are cared for with the hightest of expectations. They have professional staff on hand to meet the residents needs. You are greeted at the door with a smile and made to feel welcomed there. ![]() Lesamanns Midland Meadows is a friendly, cheerful place to visit. Right now, he's getting a shower because, for the last two weeks, they haven't showered him. I was just gone that week before this week. I'm up here on a daily basis except for the weekends. They are all about 20 years old and walking around with their hands in their jackets and do nothing. ![]() I have to wipe it off, and that's just because I'm here. My friend wets his wheelchair and they leave it wet. When you come in, there are crackers all over the floor. As far as staff goes, the rating is real low, as far as attentiveness to their residents. Probably everyone that was working in that department has quit right now, but it will come back up. They do bingo, they do singing, and they do exercises. You can put in 15 orders to get something fixed and they don't even listen. They take 45 minutes to an hour before they come to him. They should improve on cleanliness and timeliness when someone needs to go to the bathroom. Right now, there's a bunch of little girls coming in, not wanting to do anything. If it was run right, it would be a great place. However, they're going through some changes with staff, so it's kind of upside-down right now, but I'm sure it's going to pan out here sooner or later.
